Facebook Inc has been taking another step towards bringing Virtual Reality (VR) technology to the users; on Thursday, it has launched a feature that allows users to upload photos with 360-degree views. Facebook users from tomorrow can upload 360-degree photos for their posts. Moreover, these posts would be showing up in everyone’s newsfeed very soon.
“Today we’re starting to roll out 360 photos worldwide across Facebook. These are similar to 360 videos — you can tilt your phone and feel like you’re actually there. You can also check them out in virtual reality for a fully immersive experience,” Mark Zukerberg said on his Facebook status.
Facebook has been established more than a decade ago. Now it becomes the most popular social network site in the globe. Millions of files, photos or images are shared on this site every day this network. However, just today it has improved tilt viewing. With this step, people will get their photo’s more immersive views. The company has also reported that, apart from the images taken from 360-degree cameras, panoramic images taken on a mobile phone can be converted to a 360-degree view on the newsfeed. Now onwards users can see their photos in virtual reality compatible device.
