A Humanoid Robot that Pretends to Listen from a Human

This is the age of technology. Along with the other sectors, various techniques have been emerged to develop the science of robotics and robots at the present years. Over the past several years, the scientists have developed many humanoid robots and they can make sophisticated humanrobot like expressions with their heads and arms. However, these robots were not able to communicate with human. So earlier history has been passed and humanoid robots come to a new era. Now robots can supply communication support such as route guidance and education.

“We’ve all done it and that will change the world,” Said by world-famous Japanese roboticist, Dr. Hiroshi Ishiguro. “AI isn’t just about programming and engineering skills”, said Ishiguro.

An outstanding development of his team is the Actroid, a humanoid robot with lifelike appearance and visible behavior such as facial movements.“Equally important for roboticists is an understanding of human psychology and behavior, not just clever math and novel design applications. One must find a balance between the psychological and the scientific when building androids”.

Ishiguro has become synonymous with his unique creativity of eerily lifelike robots. The endowment of this great scientist is the placement of human psychology within robotics engineering. This is a system of human and computer interaction. In this system, a human teaches a route to the robot and on-return robot behaves similar to a human listener by unitizing both temporal and spatial cooperative behaviors to express that it is really listening to the human.x
